A New York State Trooper’s press release on July 26, 2024 revealed on ongoing trafficking investigation of the owners of XiangLi Wellness Spa located at 2265 Downer Street Road Building 300, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
A search warrant was conducted at the business, resulting in the police seizing ledgers, price lists, business records, and digital equipment records of the credit card charges. These records will help the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit complete a financial investigation, my retired line of work, hopefully leading to the traffickers being charged and victims being identified and helped with the resources they need. Two people were arrested who were living in the spa unlawfully, however, their status is unknown. Thankfully, local citizens paying attention in their community reported this suspicious activity at the spa. Education is the key to playing a vital role in the solution and eradication of the problem.
